The 1986 Transformers movie is a wonderful addition to the series. Although, it's all just gimmick to create a new line of toys, it's still Transformers. Because of this it's near and dear to my heart. It has some wonderful voice casting including Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, and Nelson Judd. It's a sight to behold for the eyes, the flashing lights and seziure-inducing fight scenes are just great. The scene of Optimus Prime's death, still gives me chills. This movie is made for children, and it shows. The plot is simple and the characters are straight from the show. If you haven't seen it, go to youtube and find it, It's about 84 minutes long and 9 parts in youtube. It's definetly worth a watch, but you might want to acquaint yourself with the characters before you watch. Bottom line it's a movie made for kids, For god's sake it has a Weird Al Yankovich. So you know what your in for, if you want to immerse yourself in Transformers culture, then this is a definite watch, just don't expect much.

My Thoughts On Transformers 2
Transformers 2 was a very enjoyable movie. It's no oscar-winner, but that's not what it was trying to be. It was trying to be a summer blockbuster that would make some money. Just like the original it was a sight to behold, lots of amazing fight scenes and once again, seziure inducing fight scenes (I had 3 myself). For the hardcore fans, you are going to have to accept that it's not going to be the same, neither has any comic book movie, it changes to adapt and be wider to audiences. It truly has the feel of the newer movies like the 2 new batman movies. It takes a more serious real-life approach to the series. All of you know the hype and the news it's been getting. It's a wonderful addition to the series, that I hope continues for a few more sequels. The only think I would like to ask of it is to stop making bad licenseced games. Overall it's a great movie that, if your into action/adventure, is a great movie.
